Dayton, Ohio. (October 25, 2011)— RUSH Transportation & Logistics announced that Ashley B. Parker has been named the new President of RUSH Expediting, Inc., effective
immediately.
"RUSH has grown from a straight courier service to a full service transportation company over the past 31 years. My goal is to continue the growth and develop true partnerships with our customers that are based on the Midwest philosophy of honesty and loyalty," said Parker. "RUSH offers delivery from one ounce to 45,000 pounds with same day delivery and I believe we can be strong in the intermodal freight as well."
After graduating from the University of Kentucky, Parker received her bachelor’s degree in communication with a minor in business. Most recently, she worked at C.H. Robinson, a worldwide transportation company in Chicago. Her knowledge and experience in the transportation and logistic industries makes her a valuable addition to RUSH.
"By staying true to RUSH’s core values, we will continue to provide quality transportation services and be a seamless extension of our customer’s business for many years to come," Parker stated. Parker will work in all three office locations in Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus. She is looking forward to leading the company towards a bright future for many years to come.
